HOW IT WORKS

  • What We Do

Private Providers handle your inspections and plan reviews directly, speeding up your projects here in Florida.

Due to certain statutes here in Florida, ALL paperwork, plan review, and inspections can be handled virtually.

Everything is handled by an inspector with the appropriate certifications to ensure that your project meets local standards and helps you get your Certificate of Completion quickly.

  • Why should I use a Private Provider for inspections?

We conduct inspections virtually using an app with your onsite techs and one of their phones.

Our goal is for you is to have an on-call inspector available for you in your pocket. We’re ready, when you’re ready.

That way when your install team completes a project, when they complete a job, they can schedule an inspection immediately.

Within five minutes, an inspector reviews the work via video call, checking to make sure the project was completed correctly.

If issues arise, the tech can fix them and have the inspection re-done within 15 minutes without additional reinspection fees.

  • What's the benefit of using Private Provider for plan reviews?

On the front end when you’re getting ready to start a project, you send us the documents, and we would review the plans to make sure everything is okay.

We would stamp the plans, and send them back to you. At that point, you’d be ready to apply for a permit.

When you apply for your permit, you’d send the building department the approved plans, and another form called a notice to building official.

That’s the notice letting the building department know that you’re going to be utilizing a private provider for plan reviews, and or your inspections.

At THAT point due to certain statutes here in Florida, the 21 day clock is ticking where they either HAVE TO issue your permit, or tell you why you can’t.

That’s the big benefit on the front-end of using a private provider. You’re going to increase the speed in which you get your permits issued, and have more predictable start dates for your projects.

  • What kind of inspections can we do through you?

Our services cover building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and gas. However, we do not handle zoning, flood, environmental, or code enforcement issues—our focus is strictly on the trades.

  • Are you on a list for each county where we can just look you up and add you?

In Florida, registration requirements for private providers vary by county.

We are already registered in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, Cape Coral, Collier, and most other counties in Florida to ensure compliance with their local guidelines.

When we begin working with you, we will collect a list of the areas you service most often to ensure that we are registered there.

Ultimately we can provide our services anywhere in the state of Florida!

  • How much does this cost?

Our pricing is generally a flat rate, but it varies with the type of work and project scope.

A standard bathroom remodel including sink, electrical work, and exhaust fan installation will be around $350.

Window and door installations are about $200. Keep in mind, prices can also vary depending on the local municipality.

There are no monthly subscription rates for using this service.

We often find costs lowering for contractors that we work with due to the fact they no longer paying for reinspection fees, and several municipalities lower their permit costs due to you using a private provider.

  • Where can this go wrong?

The trickiest part for any company in the beginning is just getting used to the paperwork since it’s a whole new way in the beginning.

Even though this process saves time and money, there are contractors out there who are not well organized and can feel frustrated changing up their process when it comes to handling permits.
